Marks vs Rank, AIIMS MBBS 2016

AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) is one of the most prestigious medical institutions in India. AIIMS MBBS entrance examination is also one of the toughest exam to qualify. The competition is so high that only the top one percentile are generally guaranteed a seat in AIIMS.

I have seen many MBBS aspirants look for guidance for their entrance examination preparation. One question that generally comes up is the minimum marks required to get an MBBS seat. I am giving here the marks vs rank, AIIMS MBBS 2016 as collected from various sources.

AIR 1 – 157.66 marks
AIR 1645 - 109 marks
AIR 1800 - 108 marks
AIR 5031 - 104 marks
AIR 5958 - 102 marks

  2. The marks vs rank varies from morning shift to afternoon shift. I am not sure whether the ranks mentioned above belong to the same shift. It is also possible a candidate may have a different rank for the same marks if he/ she is from a different batch.
  3. Please note that it is possible to have a lower rank with higher marks. For example, a person with 110 marks may have a rank of 1500 while a person with 108 marks may have a rank of 1200. This is possible due to the normalization procedure adopted for the two shifts.

NEET-II 2016: Notifications from CBSE

With NEET-II 2016 examination just few days away, CBSE has issued two notifications. The first notification, dated 16 July 2016, warns the candidates of the rainy season in the country and advises them to take adequate precautions to ensure timely arrival at the examination hall.
